Traveling, is an action that brings us closer to fullness, where the smile of the soul is tangible for everything that in a space of time, in a specific place, we can get to live, to learn. It would have to become official as a “preventive measure” when mental health is concerned, the “letting ourselves go”, escape, move, get lost to get out of the routine that sometimes weighs like a slab. Traveling alone or accompanied, allows an absolute renewal to feel astonishment again and again and to be focused on the enjoyment of the details that brings a known place or not, because in both cases there will always be new things to discover.
The key is in the predisposition. To be open to receive every gift that life offers you with the smallest experiences. It’s amazing, how to even return to a place you’ve already visited many times, it can be different every time, it can leave you different stories depending on how many lenses you have. Like life itself, which evolves, we are changing beings, we transform and the gift that places give you is to enjoy them from many perspectives, everything becomes different and experience can be guided by our state of mind, the company, a stage , our sensitivity and of course our receptivity, the ability we have to disconnect and simply let ourselves be carried, wrapped and fascinated.
The idea of traveling is not to run away, it would lose all its purpose and charm. The idea is to be more aware than ever of ourselves, of our enjoyment and of the perception of what surrounds us. Traveling is a pause that allows us to breathe and take back strongly. Experience, if we are really connected with our being, will inevitably bring reflection, relativize and weigh to define what really makes sense, revise or rethink a life project to be based on coherence.
If something should be clear, is that travel should have a good dose of spontaneity. The magic is not to repeat the same schemes, but to break paradigms that allow us to live and enjoy new contexts, to take on the challenge of immersing ourselves in new cultures, to know and achieve an understanding with people even if we do not speak the same language, dare to throw ourselves with our eyes closed to a world beyond our reach, unknown at the same time fascinating.
